Ive been so inspired by neutral colors lately. Everytime I go onto a street style blog, I see gorgeous girls wearing beige, tan, camel, dusty pink, mint green, and lilac purple colors and fall in love. I was reading an issue of vogue last week where they had a bunch of girls just wearing beige colored outfits, and I was captivated! I hit up the local op shops in my city over the weekend and found some treasures - including this wonderful blouse. I found this jewel tucked away between some halloween costumes, and it was cheap as chips! I was smitten over the color, then when I took it out and saw the collar, I just knew I had to get it! My closet is now being over taken by tan colored clothes.
My mind has been so over taken with Canada lately, but I am trying to not get ahead of myself. Even though I am overly excited to head back home, I still always get so sad leaving this wonderful country of Australia. I have just under two months left now, and need to make the most of them! Its hard to not want to just jump on a plane right now - especially when I talk to my Dad and he tells me of all the fun things him and my mom have planned for when Nathan and I arrive! But..seize the moment, right? This Australian adventure is not quite finished yet!
I hope that you have an amazing weekend, I have some new sponsors to tell you about this week, two sewing projects to show you, and some news about another magazine article I did (this one is about what NOT to wear to christmas parties..its funny!) see you lovelies. xo
What a steal! That top looks amazing on you :) I'm not one for tan coloured things - they make me and my paleness look a little washed out. But cream and patterns are the order of the day today!
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit sad that you're leaving and we never got to meet. Why couldn't you be based in Perth? Goodluck with your future endeavours Kate!
love everything about this outfit! i want a sheer blouse just like that it's the perfect cream colour too!
ReplyDeleteThat blouse is perfection!! I am so jealous! You look amazing in this outfit Kate, I love this skirt just as much as the first time I saw it! Or maybe more. Hmmm... ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm a little sad your Australian journey is coming to a close! Australia is a lot closer to me than Canada, heh. I'm so excited for you though!

so cute! and that blouse!! Love ^.^
ReplyDeleteI love tan, too! Actually, my current obsession is off-white, and I have SO many pieces in my closet that I'm a little hesitant to wear for winter. I just need to do it! Nathan is coming with you to Canada? That's amazing! Are you back on this continent for good (or at least for awhile?) We should meet up! Minnesota isn't THAT far from Canada, haha. Anyway, those shorts are too lovely. I want to to wear things like that all the time right now.

Are you going back to Canada forever? Or just for Christmas? It sounds like you'll be done with school to me. That blouse is perfection. I love the collar detail and tan and beige are my favorite colors to wear this fall or all the time. So effortless and elegant. I'm glad you found this amazing blouse. You should wear it with high rise pleated pants sometime! :)

You look amazing! Neutral colors overwhelm my wardrobe, but I just love them!
ReplyDeleteAlso, can I ask why you moved to Australia in the first place? :]
I've been totally longing for more neutrals as well! I love your top and skirt though. This is such a lovely outfit :)
ReplyDeleteso pretty
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely addicted to neutrals right now too
especially taupe.
You are rocking the camel trend, it looks so good on you! I can't really pull it off because of my skin color.. but maybe now with my red hair? Either way, I love how you always take trends but translate them into something that is actually wearable & stylish! Applause!
ReplyDeleteLove this outfit Kate! The neutrals look great on you! I'm envious, I've never been one to wear them though. They just end up looking blah on me. Which is probably why my closet is dominated by blue and green and red hehe.
