A Day At Sea
Ahoy, friends! Today we woke up at the stunning hour of 5 AM to embark on a 12 hour journey to Brisbane! The sail was beautiful. I was so scared of getting sea sick that I woke up at 5, then went right back to bed until lunch time. Luckily, after lunch, I didnt feel sick once, and at some points it didnt even feel like the ship was moving at all because the water was so smooth. I saw dolphins, and someone on the team even saw a whale in the distance! Pretty amazing. As you can see up there in the picture, I get pretty excited about sailing.
I spent the day going to various parts of the ship and hanging out with a good freind of mine who came just for the sail today. We had a lot of fun! We went up into the bridge and watched the captain do his thing, while we learnt more about water depth metres, radars, engine controls, and maps/charts. Its like a whole other world out on the sea. I always think about Jessica Watson and wonder how on earth she did it all by herself. I give that girl some serious kudos.
Well, I must head off. I am going to try to do some reading this evening. We start tours in the morning and I am trying to keep a positive attitude. Im getting to the point where I am having a bit of a hard time. I miss my bed at home and I miss food, and good tea, good coffee, I miss Nathan more than anything and I just want to take a long shower, but I always have to give myself a kick in the butt. Who am I to complain? Have I forgotten what this entire ship tour is actually about? Owell..it will all be better tomorrow. Have an amazing week, lovelies! <3 & remember to check out We Love Colors when you get a chance! They have an amazing selection of tights, I think all of you would love them! x
