restore the blind

Today is a busy day! I am speaking this morning infront of 150 school students.
At the organization I work at, this year we are sending a medical ship down the coast of Australia - and into Papua New Guniea bringing medical help and eye glasses to people!
Did you know that 1/2 a million people in PNG need spectacles? Its so crazy to me! And there is only 10 optometrists for the whole country....that would be like only having 40 optometrists in the whole country of Australia - and just in the city I live, has 25+ optometrists just alone! What a crazy crazy need PNG needs for eyesight!

This morning I am talking about eyesight, and how kids can get involved by either taking a trip to help these people, or collect glasses with their friends. I am nervous but I am also very excited!     What a good thing you're doing. As a formerly blind person (haha, I had Lasik) I understand how awful it is not to be able to see. So happy you're able to help so many people!
