growing attachments
Ive been known to get attached to things and never give them up for months on end. It all started when my Dad and I went on a camping trip and the only gas station near by only sold one thing remotely close to candy : Starbursts. Needless to say, for the week that we were there I bought about 4 or 5 a day and became obsessed with them. Case two, won ton soup. I went through this obsession where I would "need" it every single day, and craved it even when I woke up (yikes!) Fast forward three years to my recent obsessions : sushi, fructis shampoo, sleepy time tea, jane austen, and after yesterday, this dress. The wonderful company Plum sent me this dress and I couldnt have fallen more in love. For one, I love the colors, the shape, the fit, and the fact that it was made in my home country - and even better, Vancouver! Nothing better than local designers..such a fan! Thankyou Plum!
Oh, and can I just say that I am jealous of my Moms entire wardrobe lately? She just bought this leather jacket and I love love love it. Mum, can I have it? ;) But for real..I love having a Mom who likes nice clothes just as much as I do (and is the same size as me, thank you genetics)
Hope you are having a great week! Im off to eat some won ton flavored starbursts now (okay, just kidding) xoxo

Man oh man, the print on that dress is gawjuss! And daaannngg your mom has got some style! I think I'm going through somewhat of a Jane Austen infatuation myself nowadays, I started re-reading Pride and Prejudice and a re-read of Emma will swiftly follow.

Go mom!
ReplyDeleteI am originally from Ontario and now in BC. Needless to say I miss raiding my similar-sized, fashion forward Mom's closet. I realized upon moving here that I don't own a single pencil skirt! (They were all hers). Ouch!
And you wear the dress so well!
It is lovely, I get absurdly attached to certain food, drives my hubs crazy.

ReplyDeleteThat is a great dress. I get obsessed with stuff. too. I got really obsessed with peanut butter for awhile on multi-grain bread. I also wore a lot of brown, and turquoise last year. Now I'm obsessed with florals, greek yogurt, turkey, pastrami, and breakfast coffees.

ReplyDeleteI am just like that! My mom makes fun of me because when I like something, I don't just "like" it, I LOVE IT! Obsessions/addictions are pretty much my life. Harry Potter, Korean BBQ, Disney, pho (vietnamese noodles), the color purple, sushi rolls, etc. So glad that I'm not alone in this!
ReplyDeleteSo I would also be obsessed with that dress. It fits you perfectly!
Happy Friday!
