I loved swinging on this tree swing. I never had a tree swing growing up but I always thought they were lovely. Im always weary when I sit on one thinking that im going to make the whole tree fall over (very unlikely!) but I had fun swinging today. Did you have a tree swing growing up?
I was seriously so flattered to be Tieka of Selective Potential's featured blogger for Autumn! She is my favorite blogger, so I was ecstatic when she asked me to be her featured blogger. If you havent looked at it already, pop over and read my interview I did for her on her blog!
Hope that you're having an incredible week so far. I have been watching movies, drinking too much tea for my own good, and ofcourse missing Nathan. I watched Valentines Day last night with my room mate, and I was so impressed by the all star cast, except I have to admit that Taylor Swift was very annoying in it! Eeek..couldnt stand it! Well its time to go watch more movies. Remember to check out my new giveaway (its a good one!)Have a great rest of your week lovelies. x

ReplyDeleteAnd yay about the blogger feature, you so deserve it! I love her blog too.
going to check her blog out now , congratulations and how i wish i have your shoes
ReplyDeleteAmazing dress. I read your feature at selective potential, I was so excited because you are one of my favorite bloggers! Also, I had a tree swing but it was a monkey swing (round seat with a hole in the middle and one rope). Now if I were to get on one, I would think the branch would fall off on top of me!
ReplyDeleteI stumbled on to your blog through your feature on Selective Potential. Your photos are beautiful and I love the shoes! That shape of heel is something I've seen more and more of.
ReplyDeleteSwings are something we should never grow out of!! :-)
velvet and flowers! what a good mix!
ReplyDeleteI love your mary janes! <3 it's a pity that we don't have urban outfitters here in Spain :(

I so adore your shoes!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find! I love the combination of velvet and floral. Your photos are so pretty -- I love the swing!
ReplyDeleteNow that is something amazing....a man that can you buy you cute shoes! Nathan is amazing & those shoes are gorgeous! Most men I talk to express fright at the idea of buying their woman clothing/shoes/anything of the sort ;) You look gorgeous, the lighting in your pictures is so natural and lovely. Also, Valentines Day is one my favorite movies! I only purchase movies that I know I will watch over and over, and that is one of them! It gives me such a laugh and the cast is great...although I have to agree with you, Taylor Swift goes a bit overboard :P
ReplyDeleteLove the dress and the heels on you, you are making me want to dress more fall! but its so hot in LA right now uhhg, I am jealous, I love tights too! : [
ReplyDeleteThat dress is just perfect. You look beautiful in it! Those shoes are so cute too- Nathan's such a sweetie.
ReplyDeleteI love tree swings! I never had one growing up but my Grandmother's neighbor had a tire swing and I always snuck over into his yard to play on it. :D

Oh and also, I have been meaning to tell you- I absolutely love that floral headpiece in your default photo. It is so gorgeous!
ReplyDeletethe photo with you and the swing is so gorgeous and matches the light and carefree nature of the dress too!!
ReplyDeleteAdorable shoes! And I saw the feature at Selective Potential -- it's fabulous! You two seem like you'd be amazing friends in real life, and your styles are similar but a bit different, so you compliment each other beautifully. Anyway, I adore this outfit, and don't worry, I'll send you some of our cold weather :/. Though you're from Canada, so you probably think Minnesota is for wusses!
ReplyDeletexo
I'm really happy that Selective Potential covered you... how else could I start to blog-stalk you?
ReplyDeleteAnyway, onto more important things like swings. I did have one growing up and I have a sweet scar under my right eye (I just had to think about that) to prove it. I was helping my older brother push my twin on the metal swing that hung from the big tree in our backyard when my mom said that it wasn't safe for me to help. I didn't hear her and turned around to hear her better and the swing came back and hit me in the face. Three cheers for irony. I used to hate the scar when I was growing up, but now I wouldn't change it at all.
Ok, I was with you until you said Taylor Swift was annoying in Valentines Day. I thought she was hilarious! She totally captured that goofy popular teenage girl vibe. I mean, the character was annoying, but her playing it made me crack up.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I love your outfit and your interview with Tieka was very cool :) You look so cute on the swing...I didn't ever have one at my house, but my parents have one now.
Oh gosh Kate, this dress is amazing. Velvet AND florals? You are a girl after my own heart. And I love the t-straps. They remind me of my favorite t-straps I like to wear in the winter with tights.
ReplyDeleteMy neighbor used to have a tree swing when I was growing up. I loved it, except I always fell out! Guess I've always been clumsy, hehe!
those shoes are so cute with the outfit! I know what you mean about wanting to slip into fall right now, too.
ReplyDeleteOh, this dress! I have a Mink Pink velvet blazer in the exact same fabric! Hehe. You look amazing in it.
ReplyDeleteAnd I want those heels - your boy is so sweet. Morne did a similar thing for me the other day, I can't wait to share it on the blog :)

PS. I had a tree swing in one of the houses we lived in growing up. I recall a significant amount of my childhood was spent in the swing reading Harry Potter, haha!
Lovely heels...so sweet.

Those shoes are adorable, I love the punched leather!
ReplyDeleteI was spoilt for choice when it came to swings growing up. We had a tree swing over the river by my house, one in the garden of the castle down the road and I had a regular swingset in my garden.
If my apartment had a garden now I would totally buy one - who wants to grow up?
Love your dress! Beautiful pics :)
