Its already been almost two weeks since I started this little holiday with my parents. I cant believe how fast time goes. I wish I could freeze time for just a few days. I already have to say goodbye to my Mom and Dad in a week. That is just nonsense..too soon! But we are having an amazing time together. Three of my favorite things of this week :
1. Getting weird looks from the girls at Boost Juice Bar because I order about two smoothies a day and I think they think im obsessed (Well suprise Boost girls, I am!) and I have now resorted to having to get my Dad order my smoothie for me as I wait around the corner trying not to be seen.
2. I purchased a pair of boots that made me weak in the knees as soon as I saw them - pictures will come soon!
3. I got to have curry at an amazing Indian Restaurant. I am in love with curry and anything super hot, so this was the best meal Ive had on this trip yet. My parents even fell in love with it so we are going back tomorrow for round two!
I wanted to share with you a couple pictures of my new journal. Im in love with journals. I love writing so much and I go through a new journal about every 2/3 months. When I saw this journal in this little stationery shop I knew I had to get it. Its a rebounded book, hand made and one of a kind! So basically they take an old book, keep the cover and back, and some of the original pages from inside, and fill the rest with plain paper. It is amazing! What a neat idea. Want one? Check out their website at here!
I have to go now to get ready for my date with my Mother. Guess where shes taking me for dinner? Mcdonalds! So classy..I know. But Im a sucker for their cheeseburgers, and I take pride in being a cheap date. Have a great rest of your week! x
I know exactly what you mean about time going by! You look back and it's like "whoa-- where did that time even go?"
ReplyDeleteAnd enjoy!!! I ate McDonalds yesterday!
PS: Don't hide! You should go up to those smoothie gals and order an XXXXL!
Haha! Amber, I loved that. Thanks so much! I should go order an XXXXL..take that, boost girls! x
ReplyDelete:) Thank you for the sweet sweet compliment on my blog. That was, no joke, exactly what I needed to hear.
ReplyDeleteI love rebound books. I found them for the first time last Feburary when I was in Melbourne.
ReplyDeleteIf you ever go you must visit the Rose Street Markets on a Saturday in Fitzroy.
I think' you'll love it! Rebound had a stall there as well as many other amazing people.
Glad to hear your holiday is going well! xo
Thanks so much Dominik! Thats so cool! I want to go to Melbourne so bad, jealous that you have been. And If I ever go there, I will remember the Rose Street Markets! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, that first photo is too gorgeous! And your outfit is PERFECT. I love your journal, what a neat idea!
ReplyDeleteHaha, I'm a cheap date too. Especially at McDonalds. Give me a large french fries, a fanta and a super sundae with extra chocolate sauce and I'm the happiest girl in the world.
X
oh, you are too adorable, kate! and that necklace is absolutely gorgeous!
ReplyDeletexxx
I like your blouse so much! And your necklace looks perfect with it.
ReplyDeleteYour journal is pretty cute! Reaaaaaally good idea for recycling. Back in h.s. my friends and I used to write a lot in our 'secret' notebook hehe. I should get on that boat again.
<3
Love this post! I totally feel you with everything you say! It must be hard to say goodbye to your padres! :S It's always the worst to part with my dad at the airport every summer (he lives in Korea and I live in the states). And I love journals! I have so many! Do you keep them all once you fill them up? And everybody needs McDonald days! :) I still like to order a kids meal once in a while.. shhh.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog! I love yours! I feel like I connect! xD I'd love if we could follow each other!
Lovely blog!
Erin :)
Oh how I've missed you and your sweet posts! I really like the photos, especially the ones that are the close-ups of your necklace.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I love that you take pride in being super low maintenance as a date. It's a good thing! That reminds me of this one TV show that showed this guy take his girlfriend on a fancy date-- at McDonald's. It was so classy. :)
Toast with Charmalade
Why would they look at you weird? It's boost! I love getting boost when I'm in the city! I mean, I could understand if you ordered two bic macs from mcDonalds a day - that may warrant a look but boost smoothies are good for you :D
ReplyDeleteLove your shirt. Can't wait to see the boots!

ReplyDeleteThat journal is so beautiful! What a great idea, I love it!
You are such a beauty, my dear. truly.
I always have a problem finishing journals. I start one and then I end up buying a new one before I'm even finished. Same problem with sketch books too! Glad you're having so much fun with your parents (:

I love your happy list! This is such a great post.
ReplyDeleteAnd I love the pink necklace with the gray. So cute!
xoxo
You look so sweet Kate! Don't worry about those smoothie girls...order as many as you want! Of course, I'm obsessed with them too so I may be giving bad advice here. Hehe, I hope you enjoy the rest of your time with your parents, I'm so glad they get to visit you :]
ReplyDeleteTotally gorgeous necklace, I'm so jealous! And my heavens, it sounds like you're having an amazing time with your parents! Three weeks of Australian goodness! (I also order a lot of coffee drinks from the same place and often make my husband go in and order for me so I don't look like a freak, haha). I used to feel bad about it, but now I don't :)
ReplyDeleteAnyway, you look the way you feel, which is beautiful and happy. :)
xo
thanks for stopping by my blog. and im glad you did because i really love your blog! im a new follwer! anywayy.. i really love this outfit. you are so adorable
ReplyDeleteHaha it's funny, I work at an ice cream place and I totally notice when people come in multiple days. They always look shifty eyed and order something small. Tooo funny! But I definitely get like that too. Like Brian thinks I am addicted to Betty Crocker warm delight cookies with ice cream because at 9 I make him come with me to the grocery store for them... quite frequently. It's the little things right?
ReplyDeleteCute shorts! I can't wait to go to England to hopefully try good curry!
ReplyDeletei love booster juice :D
ReplyDeletein first year, i had so much extra flex dollars on my meal plan, and i kept going to booster juice to use them up! ah, those were the good days. haha. they're actually pretty expensive for a drink, i think :(
anyways, loving your look like always :D !
haha you should order two smoothies! i most definitely would do the same. a couple years ago when i had an obsession with jamba juice, i would walk in there and they'd greet me by my name...a tad bit embarrassing! :)
ReplyDeletei absolutely love your top!
time spent with parents is always great, glad to hear you're having a lovely time! i'm at my parents this weekend & its sooo relaxing!
ReplyDeletelovely outfit, your necklace is gorgeous! aww, i say keep going in & buying your smoothies, at least they're healthy! :)

ReplyDeleteAww, I'm happy for your time spent with family. Its the feeling of family bonding.
I'm glad you take pride in cheap dates. I enjoy dining at Mcdonalds too, I've just had their Cinnamon melts a while ago :x
the necklace is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, what a beautiful necklace! Also, there's no shame in an epic love of smoothies!
ReplyDeleteLove the necklace and these shorts are to die for !!
ReplyDeleteSee U !
i happened to stumble upon your blog and i'm happy i've done so! your writing is enjoyable to read and your photos are wonderful too! good to know that you and your parents are having a pleasant time here in Aus! and dont worry about the Boost Juice girls, i normally give them a fake name like "Sydney" or "Safron" for the fun of it! hahaha
