Fake Funerals

Dearest peaches, is this a good week or what? I am having a really good week. I think my anticipation level for Sunday is growing higher and higher..I just want to go already! :)

Today I was thinking back to funny memories from when I was growing up. Do you ever do that? I literally was laughing in my room for about an hour. The funniest memory that I thought of today was something that my best friend Danielle and I would do when we had sleepovers. We would put on a sad song, and pretend that one of us died (its so morbid, now that I think of it!) and play out our entire funeral. Isnt that just ridiculous? WHAT were we thinking? I couldnt stop laughing thinking about it. Oh danielle, I love you. What is one of your favorite memories or ridiculous stories of something you used to do? I wont judge, promise!

Tonight Nathan is treating me to a date night..I love it when he plans something out and just gets so excited about suprising me! Plus, hes cooking dinner, and hes a terrific cook - so I am very excited!

Hope you're all having a great week.

  3. HAHA that funeral story is so funny! A bit morbid but strangely hilarious. I agree, reminiscing, especially with others, is a lovely way to get a good laugh. Love your high-waisted jeans!

  4. My best friend and I used to write parodies in her caravan during sleepovers. We made up alternate lyrics to Jesse McCartney's Beautiful Soul, making it about grocery shopping. We were such dorks :)

Love the loose top and tight pants! You look great! Have a great date night xx

  13. Ha!
Love your funeral sleepovers, that is soo funny!

My sister and I used to wait 'til after we were supposed to be sleeping (in our room),put blankets over our head and shoulders, and walk around pretending to be getting married.
And then, once...we had heard the name "Otis Spunkmeyer" from the grocery store, you know, and it sounded to interesting we kept saying it in this english accent, pretending we were marrying Otis Spunkmeyer!
    ha ha ha ha ha
I forgot all about it but that was hilarious!

Have a great Friday, Kate girl!

  15. Those glasses are so fun!

My youngest brother is ten years younger than me, and when he was 4 or 5, he would do this thing (that my other brother and I trained him to do for some reason..) where he would go all limp with this goofy smile on his face and he wouldn't respond to anyone and he made us carry or drag him around. We used to start yelling to our mom that he was "drunk again!!" And we called him Frenchie when he did this. I couldn't tell you why. I'm surprised my mom even admits to knowing any of us now, hahaha.

a funny memory of mine is when, my best friend molly and were about 12 and 13, we would go into Mc Donald's and ask to buy just the girl toy, for our "little sisters"... all the while giggling, hahaha we must have looked so silly! then we went home and built doll houses, we were both late bloomers :P

  19. HAHA you used to play funeral? That's funny - I did something similar with my friend in high school where we'd plan out our entire funeral especially what music we wanted played.

  20. I absolutely love your shirt!

And that story about planning out your "funerals"...priceless!
When I was in elementary school, I had a phase where I desperately wanted to help the homeless in NYC. Not just homeless in general, but homeless people in NYC only. How strange was I? So I went door to door asking for donations so I could give money to the poor. Can you imagine what my neighbors were thinking? They must have thought I was trying to get money out of them so I could buy something for myself....but I thought that somehow I really could give the money to an organization or something. Needless to say, it didn't work out. It cracks me up every time I think about it.

  21. Your story made me laugh, because I actually remember doing the same thing as a child!
Sounds like such a wonderful weekend. :)

  22. Awww bless Nathan, what a sweet guy! What are you guys going to do? That funeral story is quite morbid indeed, but that reminds me of my best friend at home Vicky, she has always talked about her funeral and how she wants everyone is wear her two favorite colors only... green and orange, haha she's such a weirdo!

Love your high waisted pants, girl! I need a pair. I had one from Forever 21, but the zip broke, I guess I could get it fixed... somewhere... hmmm. Miss you lots! Hope you're having a good weekend!

  38. I used to be so mean to my little brother. He is 3 years younger than me. His name is Chris but the only way I would be nice to him was if he would let me dress him as a girl and call him Carrie. I treated him like a sister or he was my arch enemy. This stopped when he was about 5 but still, how horrible is that?! Thank goodness he is a good sport about it now.
