So long, sweet sailor.

Ahoy love-bugs, I hope you all have had an amazing week. I have been on a bit of a break these past few days, I have been boggled down with work and craziness all around. What have you guys been up to this week?

So, I have some exciting news. A week ago I was asked to consider going on a missions trip, up the north coast of Australia - on a medical ship! Basically, in 2 weeks I will be leaving on a 3 month journey of sailing through the Australian sea, stopping in 8 different cities, giving tours of the medical ship to kids and families, collecting spectacles for eye sight in Papua New Guneia, and sharing the exciting news of the Ship Tour! Exciting stuff, huh? I get very seasick though, so this will be a bit of an interesting endeavor. Pray that I will have good sea legs! As exciting as this is, it is also sad aswell, because I will be saying au revoir to Postcards From for a little while. There is only so many ways you can sport a life jacket in photos, and I wont get much time to spend on the blog, but I will do updates every now and then to tell you guys what I am up to. Anyway, just wanted to share in the excitement with you! This is going to be the journey of a lifetime, im terrified but I know its right. So here I go!

  3. That sounds like an amazing trip. Doesn't something exciting give you that funny feeling in your gut? I hope you don't literally get that funny feeling though, no sea sickness! Maybe it's good that you won't be able to blog so much then; you can slow down and appreciate it all without worrying about updating, y'know?

I'm going on a trip in about two weeks too, so bon voyage to you, fellow traveler! :)

PS: I love sequins + floral. So cute.

  11. Oh my gosh, WHAT an opportunity. My husband and I want to do medical "missionary" work at some point, and I've told you before that Australia is our dream location. We almost tried to go this June, but alas finanace won't permit yet. Anyway, I know you'll have an awesome time, and we'll MISS you. We'll wait with baited breath for your updates :) SO much love!

That sounds like such an amazing adventure! Make sure to get some sea bands or something, but the boat looks big and pretty stable. I really admire your courage and dedication to others.

Just a funny anecdote from my week: I got rejected from eHarmony. That's right, I'm matchless! I cried but now I think it's pretty darn funny ;]
