Dear friends, I hope you are having a good weekend! Yesterday was a long but very fun day. We had a youth festival in the middle of the city, with a battle of the bands, skateboard park, and carnival. My day was filled with mcdonalds cheese burgers, slurpees, art projects, and loud music about to make me deaf. It was a good time..but I was there for 14 hours, so that part wasnt so good. What did you do yesterday?
This weekend I am on a mission to : make a new dress, bake a key lime pie without graham crackers for the crust (wish me luck!), and find a second hand book worth indulging into. My favorite books of all time are books filled with poetry. I always find really good ones at thrift stores. Im not a fan of the thrift stores in this city though - so I never find very many good ones, you should go look for one though, and tell me what you think!
Well, its time for me to make my way to the grocery store. Green beans and salmon here I come. Have a great weekend lovelies! <3
that dress is so fun
ReplyDeleteI just had a McDonald's cheeseburger for the first time in so long, extra pickles all the way! Yum yum. What a guilty pleasure... Your work sounds very rewarding and interesting.
ReplyDeleteand what a cool layered dress! I can't wait to see what you make :] and I think I've seen your wear that birdcage necklace, it sounds dreamy.
The train tracks I usually takes pictures on is right behind my house; luckily it rarely is used, it's so loud! I've been trying to scout new photo locations though, since it seems to help me enjoy my hometown a bit better, even though I feel "stuck" here.
I hope you're having a beauteous weekend!
those boots are pretty sweet! yesterday i just wasted a bunch of time with the fiance and watched sherlock holmes. :)
ReplyDeleteI am utterly in love with your hair! If I could make mine do that, I'd be the happiest person in the world, I think. Anyway, poetry is the best! I'm so happy you love it. And the shoes, Kate! I would wear those in a heartbeat. How do you always manage to look so cool? It's like you exude coolness, haha. Anyway, I will be trying your real hair braid trick -- it's lovely.

ReplyDeleteYou look lovely as always and I love your hair! Your weekend sounds like it was fabulous! One of my favorite books I found at a thrift store and it's called "Hope for the Flowers". It's from the 70s and it's like a children's book for adults. It has illustrations and it's in the form of poetry. It's amazing :]
ReplyDeleteGreat shoes hun! Totally hocus pocus, freaking love that movie!
ReplyDeleteI like those boots. :)
ReplyDeleteMmm, key lime pie is my favorite! I hope you get to make it. I love poetry as well, I just recently got a collection of Emily Dickinson's poems and I keep it in my purse and pull it out periodically and open to a random page. Her poetry is sensational
ReplyDeleteThose shoes are seriously so lovely!! I saw some so similar in the antique mall, but they were REALLY antique.. and super skinny. There was no way I could fit my feets into them!
