the introduction



Yeah, I am not one for the awkward meet and greet, quick 'hi how are you nice to meet you!' - it gives me hives and chills down my spine. What do I talk about? What do I say? Should I tell them they have lipstick on their tooth? But after a year and a half of blogging I thought it was time to do this post. I know that there are some hidden Postcards From readers out there that have never said hello or introduced themselves to me! This post is for you. I want to hear from you! One of my favorite parts about blogging is the community and my readers. I love knowing what you think about Postcards From and who you are. I promise, this wont be awkward. Oh, and you should know...your fly is undone.

I remember I told a girl one time that her tag was sticking out of her pants in the back..and she got mad at me! I think she was just embarrassed! But yikes! Thanks so much!     Oh Kate, i remember the first time I ran into your blog. I thought 1)wow this girl has the best hair EVER 2) She has the best fashion sense. And I looked and read through everything! And I thought to myself okay I will remember this blog (because I was looking at your blog at work while there was downtime) but then when I got home I forgot the name! It took me a good 15 minutes to trace back and find you again!     I love how you mix stuff up in your style. You do a lot of that girlie/tough combo and it works really well for you. Your photos are awesome--- I love that vintagey, sort of blurry look they have, and they usually have an interesting cast of blue or something that just makes them really pretty. And you're so fun to read! I loved that open letter to AA you did not long ago. But what I really appreciate is that time I commented something about your post about not eating sausage and other delicious foods, right after I first discovered your blog, and you took the time to send me a little email and say hi and respond. It was short and simple, but that sort of real communication between bloggers is part of what's so awesome about blogging.

    Hey Kate! Although we have never met (and shamefully I have never posted a comment) we're quite connected! :) My husband and I met during our DTS at RTO and have since married and moved to little ol'Kelowna. We're good friends with the Mully's and through them have heard that you and Nath are together. I do read your blog often and have marveled at your fashion sense and continual excitement and wonder at the world around you.
