the dream blazer

There are very few times that a clothing item engraves itself into my mind where I cant stop thinking about it for hours on end. I went to a vintage shop a couple days ago and saw this blazer on a rack, fell head over heels in love, then saw the price tag. So expensive! I came to grips with reality that I might just have to let it go and find another owner. Came home, thought about it all night, dreamt about it, woke up the next day and realized "I have to have that blazer!" I called the shop owner and asked if the blazer was still there. 'Yes of course!' she said, and I was in my car faster than you can say blazer. You know its love when you leave the house in sweat pants and wet hair (You will NEVER see me with wet hair!) After texting close friends to get their opinion, and dipping into my college fund (just kidding mom..sort of) here it is, the most wonderful blazer I have ever seen. My Dad refers to it as the 'Jackie Kennedy' blazer..could there be a better compliment? Probably not. This baby is with me for life.

    This blazer looks like the coziest thing in the world and I love the color! Glad you ended up getting it - it'll be worth what you paid for it, especially when you get to pass it on when you're older ;)

    that is an amazing blazer. Totally worth it! I had that exact feeling with a new hat. I left it at a vintage store and an hour later and came running back around the corner for it.

    Love it :) The color, the cut, everything. I feel like I'm thrifty enough that when I see that one beautiful thing that I love and want, I should be able to have it :) So I totally relate. Because there have been multiple times I've walked away from something and then gone back for it.

    So nice. You look so so joyful :) which is what matters.

    Beautiful blue blazer! I can totally relate to going to a thrift/vintage shop and seeing something, not getting it, and then not being able to stop thinking about for days...and then going back to buy it. I've definitely done that at least a couple times. :)

    Are you sure Prince William is marrying the right Princess Kate on Friday? This blazer makes you look royalty Kate! I'm so glad you ended up getting it, even if it did cost you an arm and a leg hehe :) It's such a magnificent color! You'll never see me with wet hair in public either!

    PS. Robert was reading through my comments and he was like "Someone wants to me us--which means someone wants to me you AND ME?" I then asked if we could go to Canada and he just rolled his eyes hehe. If only right?
