violets are blue

Shades of blue are usually out of my radar when it comes to fashion but I decided to bite the bullet and get over it today. I have been seeing so many blue and navy colored items on blogs lately that I just had to try something navy on. Guess what? I liked it. So of course I decided to go the extra mile and pair it with some blue socks. Guess what? I liked it even more. I don't know what my beef is with the color blue. I think it all started when Eiffel 65 decided to grace us all with their presence and obnoxious song (which I listened to on repeat all through my grade 7 year) but since then it has been a number one enemy. Its time to mend this friendship. I am just going to come out and say it : I like blue. All shades of blue. I am dipping into the unknown friends and bringing more blue to my closet.

We had yet another gorgeous day today. I get so excited when I wake up and instead of my dark room it has been so bright and warm lately. I went on a walk with my Dad this afternoon and got so excited when I realized 15 minutes in to the walk that I was getting too warm and needed to take my jacket off!! Woo hoo....warm weather is almost here! Hope you're having a great week love bugs. xo

    isn't it funny how we do and do not wear certain colours. it was just a couple of years ago that i realized that i never buy orange, red, green, or yellow. i've branched out a little but i still stick to pinks, blues, and purples. you look really pretty in blue.

    So cute! I like your knee highs and chunky scarf. Navy is good. It's just like black but sometimes I get confused as to whether black shoes or brown look better paired with it! You have the biggest real smile and perfect teeth!

    Da boo dee da boo die, gurl, these photos are da bomb. :D In seriousness though, I especially like the last picture, how you decided to get all Charlie's Angels up in this grill without any reason. Respect.

    Also, respect for bridging that gap into friendship with the color blue. I personally never have anything against it, but I've never really been one to be drawn towards it. Red is my color, if anything, so that's perhaps why. :)

    You look so pretty! I love this outfit on you! I avoided blue for a long time, too... it was my sister's color. She had pale blonde hair and blue eyes, so blue was always "her" color, everyone raved about her in blue (and to be fair, she does look stunning in blue!) but it wasn't until my adult years that I realized I liked blue, too!

    i love this dress sooooo much! i love the color blue. i don't know why, but i kinda tend to gravitate toward it. maybe because i have blue eyes? i don't know, but i do love it. so i'm excited that you're giving that shade a second chance :) i love this!!! especially with the socks.

    Second, In my last semester at school we had to design a house for a lot on swan lake by vernon...i looked at so many pictures of it and the lot looks like where you are in these pics! I though it would be totally weird if you actually were on swan lake! haha
