leather fever

There is two things that I can never get enough of in my closet. Velvet, and leather. You know when you are shopping and you see something in your peripheral and you are 'trying' to give your friend the 100% attention that they deserve, but all of a sudden you are MIA and they are left walking alone and talking to themselves while you dash to the 'MUST SEE' item. I will be honest and tell you that I have this maneuver down to a T. I swear I could be in a shopping complex and my best friend could tell me shes engaged, pregnant, or that her life long dog just died and I would say "Okay. Great. I'll be right back" before it even registers. Anyone know what I am talking about? That is the story behind this dress. I saw it out of the corner of my eye, and left my freind abandoned while I tip-toed (ran) back to it. Love at first sight. Isnt that how I am with all of my clothes though? Its true. But who wouldnt love a leather panelled dress?

I hope you are all having a wonderful week so far. I wish I could say mine has been exciting and life changing, but really I took the lazy route yesterday and stayed in my pajamas all day watching Oprah and Dr Phil (perfect thing to do when you're bloated and tired, true?!) Luckily today was a different story. Im energetic as a bee and excited to do blog posts this week. Have a wonderful week love bugs! Oh, and please take note of my wonderful pose with my head tilt.     I love the story behind that beautiful dress! That's just the BEST feeling when you find something that is 100% you. =)

    And no worries for lazy days; those are also the best. You can't be all up 24/7, unless you're one of those little robot hamsters (they are SO crazy).

    Once again, those boots are amazing!

    I do the same thing to my husband every time we go shopping! Although, it may or may not usually include a sale on cracked pepper and olive oil Triscuits.

    These pictures are absolutely stunning! I can't get over how great your hair looks as well as your all black outfit. The leather is perfect on you and it's the perfect amount of leather on that dress. :)

    And the best days are always the lazy days spent in Pajamas watching TV. I need one of those days sometime soon.

    yeeep I am familiar with the 'running to the rack leaving your friend talking to themself' phenomena. Actually, I think I do that all the time to Dale and he'll just say "why didn't you just tell me you were going over there?" haha! Ah boy.

    That dress totally necessitated that kind of reaction though I mean c'mon leather and velvet? Gimme a break - total perfection. You look utterly...resplendent! hehe

    Anyways, I love the leather dress! I still need a good pair of leather shorts...I never got any last spring. Hopefully this'll be the year!
