Well friends, its over. After travelling 2730 kilometres down the coast of Australia, I am home, and my parents are on a plane back to Canada. I came home yesterday, and they left today. I have a super funny/cute story about my taxi drive to the airport yesterday. I thought the whole way down the elevator of the hotel "I wont cry, I will see them at Christmas! Its no big deal!" and I had to keep telling them "Dont be sad! Its not that bad!!" (I think I did this to convince myself - but truly I was heartbroken!) but as soon as I got into the cab, my tough exterior melted and I became a sobbing mess. My poor taxi driver was the nicest old man, and he kept asking me all these questions, but when you're in such a sad state - the last thing you want to do is talk. He looked through the mirror and could tell that I was crying. He said I wouldnt believe how many people he see's crying when they get into taxi's...and that he knew what would cheer me up. He turned on the cd player - and on comes "YMCA" I couldnt believe it. He was right - it made me so much happier! As we reached the red light, he started doing the hand motions and my frown turned into a huge smiling laughter. So there we were, me and this taxi driver, at a red light doing the YMCA in the car - while im laughing/crying. Best moment ever, I had to share!
It feels so good to be home again and to sleep in my own bed and not live out of a backpack and travel from hotel to hotel every night. I was unpacking my bag and realized I am excited to show you guys some of my new purchases from this trip! The first : my new floral shoes. These are so dreamy. My Mum and I were in this shop and I tried them on thinking "Hmm..I dont know" and my mom said "There so you! Get them!" so I couldnt resist (thanks for the extra push Mum!)
I have a few other exciting things to share with you this upcoming week aswell but the first one would be to tell you about a discount that the lovely online shop "
Spotted Moth" is giving you lucky readers from my blog! Head on over to
Spotted Moth - and pick out some goodies, and once you get your total type in "postcards" into the discount bar and you will get 15% off your entire purchase - good for one use only though, so make it good! :) My favorite items would be the Pollyanna Coat - and the floral head crowns - so adorable!
And last but not least..the big question : "Did she decide to clog or not clog?" - well what a silly question I asked in the first place, ofcourse I am going to clog! So stay tuned for some photo's soon!! Thanks so much for all of your comments and opinions, I loved reading all of them! Have a great rest of your weekend! x

ReplyDeleteAnd taxi cab drivers - so true. When I was New York, they either want to strike a conversation or not. One was talking about reincarnation, haha!
Oh and this guy I met in New York was telling me that when he was in Las Vegas he was asking the cab driver about strip clubs and being really dirty talking about them just to mess with the cab driver, and he said to him "but you're a cab driver in Las Vegas, I bet you hear this all of the time." And the cab driver simple responded "actually, no.." Hahah!
Haha that story of the taxi guy is so cute. It was nice of him to do that =)
