Why did you start a fashion blog?
I have always had a love for fashion and writing, and blogging seemed like such an amazing opportunity to put those two things together! I was interested in being inspired by other bloggers, and also inspiring others aswell.
What made you want to become a volunteer?
I was in my first year at University, not really knowing what I wanted to do with my life, and feeling like University was just an easy way out to make other people happy. I started looking into my options, and I originally wanted to be a nanny in another country, but I heard about YWAM and I thought it sounded amazing. I realized how selfish I was growing up, when you come across the world to work for something higher than yourself. Its been amazing!
What else are you interested in outside of blogging?
I love spending time with friends, cooking, writing, reading and photography. I love good tea and mcdonalds cheeseburgers. Im pretty easy going...go with the flow.
What do your friends/family think about your blog?
My friends all read my blog & as far as I know they love it! I have a lot of friends that are into music, art, dance, science, and I am into fashion - so I think they are happy I am able to do something that I love in my spare time!
How do you buy clothes for your blog if you make no money?
I have a lot of very generous friends! I get a lot of gifts that are clothing because those closest to me know that I would rather that than anything else. I get donations from people also and sometimes treat myself - but I will admit, I have a big collection of clothes and seem to never worry about running out of items to post on my blog! (Its ridiculous, actually!) :)
Whats up with the name "Postcards From...?"
My boyfriend Nathan came up with that name one night when I was trying to think of what to call my blog. I said the goofiest names ever, and his first suggestion was "postcards from..." and while he tried to think of a city of where it could be from, I decided that it was going to be my blog name - without the city!
Who takes your pictures?
My faithful tripod and amazing boyfriend!
I think its so great that you have this creative outlet Kate! I love to see people passionately doing what they love! And you are an artist of a unique kind :)
